Timing
Your brain has an internal clock that keeps time. Timing is responsible for countless tasks such as attention, working memory and processing speed which in turn are all critical for auditory processing, reading fluency and language development.
Timing is essential for understanding speech or what is referred to as temporal processing. When timing in the brain is off, a person may have difficulty processing and understanding the spoken word. Research has indicated that rhythm and timing training can also have a positive effect on balance and motor coordination.
