OUR STORY

Aled
Hughes
Aled Hughes set up CoDex Kids in 1996 after completing his degree in Human Movement Studies.
With over 30 of years of training and coaching experience, his clientele varies from PE coaching for school-aged children to elite performance athletes. In 2010 he was approached to expand his business for children with dyspraxia (DCD) and Codex 360 took off, offering individual and group sessions as well as the renowned Codex Kids Camps (link to website) and Speed 4 Sports Camps ( link to website) during summers and midterm breaks.
Aled pursued his interest in children with Development Coordination Disorder-Dyspraxia by enrolling in a Master’s programme in Specific Learning Disabilities. From this experience now we at Codex360 offer learn to read, learn to write interventions as well as physical literacy interventions.
In 2020 Aled and Marinet’s paths crossed while working jointly with a client. A collaboration started.

Marinet
Brennan
Marinet is a speech-language therapist and audiologist with additional training in neuro developmental therapy/Bobath and had always realised the importance of addressing the child’s physical skills before targeting their speech, language, listening and learning skills.
This important concept of ‘Move to Learn – Learn to Move’ became very personal when Marinet’s youngest was born with Cerebral Palsy. Marinet expanded her knowledge by becoming an Adaptive Special Needs Master Trainer with Special Strong Ltd.
A partnership started between Aled and Marinet with two skilled and experienced professionals working together to help children of all ages, all abilities and disabilities to ‘move to learn and learn to move’. They launched their first (of many) programmes, the CoDex360 MAT, in the Summer of 2021 with it being an instant international success.
Since then they have been inundated with requests for training sessions, workshops, speaking opportunities and joint consultations both locally in Ireland and internationally. They have regular podcasts of various topics on (add link) and offer practical advice and information through their blogs (add link/ address).
